Online resources for math and reading
-www.readworks.org- this website offers reading passages based on reading level and skill.
-www.corestandards.org- for more information on the Common Core standards for ALL subjects
-www.readingrockets.org- click on the parent tab for reading 101 and MANY other resources to help you support your child at home.
-www.readwritethink.com- click on parent tab to search for activities and resources based on grade level.
-www.learnzillion.com- this site offers great videos that teach students (and parents) to solve models and algorithms for each standard.
-www.kahnacademy.org- Very similar to LearnZillion
-https://myeclassgcps.com/app/StudentPortalLogin/ - Use the online resources from the text, and also access teacher course pages. You will need your child's log in information (they should know the information)
-Youtube! - A lot of great EDUCATIONAL information can actually be found on Youtube. Sometimes searching for a certain standard can yield some useful results. For example, searching for multiplying fractions using fraction models can bring up tutorials and examples.
