Sam ate more 2/12 more.
The answer is Sam and he ate 2/12 or 1/6.I got this answer by changing 3/6 to 6/12 by multipliying by 2.Then I knew 6/12 was bigger so I just subtracted 4/12 from it. :)
Sam ate more. He ate 1/6 or 2/12 more than Liam.
Sam has more because 3/6 is bigger than 4/12,how much more is 1/6.
Sam ate more chocolate. She ate 3/6 that is equal to 6/12and Liam has 4/12 so Sam has more. Also Sam ate 2/12 more which is equivalent to 1/6. So Sam ate more and ate 1/6 more pieces of chocolate than Liam.
Sam ate more.He ate 1/6 more.
To compare fractions, we must make sure the fractions have the same denominator. In this case, they don't. Well, 3x2=6. 6x2=12.3/6=6/12. Now, we can compare 4/12 and 6/12.6/12 is obviously greater. But we can't say 6/12 is greater. The number is 3/6.
Sam ate more chocolate, but how much more? Let's subtract. 6/12-4/12=2/12. 2/12=1/6. Sam ate 1/6 of a chocolate bar more.
First, I had to come up with a common denominator, which is 12. Liam's fraction stayed the same, but Sam's became 6/12. 6/12 is bigger than 4/12. Sam ate more.
sam ate more because:
6 and 12 are NOT common denominators so i multiplied 6 x 2 to get 12 then i multiplied 3 x 2 which equals 6 so it would be 6/12, and 6/12 is bigger than 4/12. also,6/12 is 2/12 bigger than 4/12.

i think sam ate more chocolate cause liam=4/12 and sam=3/6 to get 6 to 12 you multiply by 2 so you have to multiply 3 by 2 and then 6 turns into 12 so liam has 4/12 and sam equals 6/12 so sam ate more.
Sam ate more because if you have 4/12 and 3/6 you have to change the 3/6 to 6/12 and 6/12 is greater than 4/12.Sam has 2/12 more than Liam.
i know that SAM ate more because 4/12 who Liam ate and sam ate 3/6. so i get the same denominator which is 12 so 4/12 stays the same but 3/6 becoes 6/12. next i see which is bigger. 6/12 is bigger than 4/12 so sam ate more of the bar. to extend the problem you could add and see how much both of the people ate.
sam ate more he had6/12 and liam had 4/12 so 6/12 is more than 4/12 so sam ate more than sam by 2/12
