Neither of them are correct because the boy has 4/24 that also equals to 1/6 and 24/144, the girl has 3/18 that also equals to 1/6 and 24/144. So they both have the same portion of the cake. : )

the anser is that they both have the same portain! to find my anser i used the butter fly effect.i wrote down the fraction i multilie by doing 24 times 3 and 4 times 18.thats how i got my anser.

They are both wrong. If you divide their fractions you would get 1/6 for both of them. They would both have equal pieces.

They are the same because when I mulitphed 4 times 18 I got 72

there equal cause you know by multiplying the denominators, then multiplying the 4 by 18 and multiply 3 by and 24 and which ever one is bigger or equal proves who was right

The boy and the girl are both wrong. 4/24 and 3/18 are equivalent.

Nobody is wrong. Nobody is right.I multiply the boy's fraction by 3 and got me the equivalent fraction,12/72.I multiply the girl's fraction by 4 and got me the equvaient fraction,12/72.So they both got equal cake.

they are both wrong because I crossed multiplied and they both have the same amount, becuase 18 times 4 equals 72 and 24 times 3 equals 72. and that is my answer.

They are equal because 4/24 is equalivelent to 3/18.

Both of them are wrong when you simplify the fractions. They both actully ate 1/6 of the cake . so they had the same amount .

None of them are correct. There portion is equal because if you times 24 and 18(which is the denominator)you will get 432.Then you times 18 and 4 and get 72.Then you times 24 and 3 and get 72.Both of there portion is equal. :) 72\432

They are both wrong. If you simplify 3/18 you get 1/6 and if you simplify 4/24 you also get 1/6.

To find the answer you have to reduce both fractions to the simplest forms 4/24 =1/6 and 3/18 =1/6 so they both have an equal amount.

No one is right, no one is wrong. The portion is equal. :) :)

They got the same amount because 4/24 divided by 4 is 1/6.

They are both wrong, because 4/24 can be reduced to 1/6. And 3/18 can be reduced to 1/6 also. There fore, they are both wrong.

I did the math and the answer is that the two fractions are equivalent. so they were both wrong.

Well, if you reduse both fractions you get 1/6 .Both children have the same amount of cake . There may be different denominators but if you reduse both you get the same amount! Comments are closed.
